February 2, 2022 at 7:00pm CT - Costs of Climate Inaction: The Health and Financial Burdens of Extreme Heat - featuring Vijay Limaye, PhD. Dr. Limaye will be speaking on health impacts of extreme heat and how to look at the cost of extreme heat as well as the costs of intervention vs inaction.
February 16, 2022 at 7:00pm CT - Health and chemical policy: What every health professional needs to know to make TSCA work to protect vulnerable populations - featuring Trish Koman, PhD. Dr. Koman will discuss how clinicians can get more involved in policy implementation to provide data about health effects and exposure and how to accomplish primary prevention.
March 2, 2022 at 7:00pm CT, - Threats of Climate Change to Children's Health and Equity: Benefits of Intervention - featuring Frederica Perera, PhD, DrPH. Dr. Perera will be speaking on her recent research on the threats to children's health from air pollution, hydrocarbons and fossil fuels.
March 16, 2022 at 7:00pm CT - Nitrate in drinking water and health - featuring Mary H. Ward, PhD. Dr. Ward’s presentation will focus on environmental and occupational causes of cancer and other health impacts, with emphasis on nitrate in drinking water.
